GM jams

GM concords

will068 08-27-2013 03:59 PM

uhhh.. these are fake. Fucking ugly too.

- shape is off
- "23" is off
- heel patent leather shape is off - especially for the space jams
- traction pattern shape is off on both

These do not even look like they came from the same factory as the Nike-commissioned factories if you claim they are grey market.

By the way, it costs Nike $25-$30 to make a pair of shoes. So there is nothing premium about the materials of the original shoes, so replica makers do not have to dumb down their replicas to make fakes.

How much did you pay for these ? These look like pairs sold in the night markets in Manila and Bangkok for $50 if you don't bargain. Let me guess, you bought these via taobao? You got to be very naive to believe the legitimacy of those sellers when they say it is straight from the same factory as Nike's.

By the way, why are you buying fakes for these ? Both concords and space jams could be easily had if you pre-ordered from Champs/FTL. You do know that these shoes will be re-retroed again. Nike/Jordan Brand will milk as much money as they can for these so best believe they will come out again.

It's like we're in a watch forum and you start posting your fake collection of hublot and panerai watches.

Mike Oxbig 08-27-2013 04:18 PM

Uhhhh... these aren't mine and im just providing the facts to whoever is reading. You seem to be butt hurt and offended more than anything.

It's just a debate man chill.

I don't mean to sound condescending. Anyways, if those pics are of "grey market" pairs indeed, they even look more fake than the "straight from the factory" shoes I've seen. It sounds like people who advocate for these:

a. profit for them
b. own them and pretend they are the real deal

Mike Oxbig 08-27-2013 07:56 PM

People on niketalk/reddit passed them as real but under unauthorized sneaker.

*shrug*

Mr.Money 08-28-2013 12:28 AM

i'm surprised for the space jams they put the effort in of including the carbon fiber underneath....Jump man what was the most thing off to me

Mike Oxbig 08-28-2013 12:34 AM

There is no quality check for gm so alignments are not perfect. The fake ones will068 said you can get on the street for $50 uses plastic instead of real carbon fibre.

Mike Oxbig 08-29-2013 12:57 PM

Will069, i guess these are fake?

One thing I learned in my cousin's businesses is that you can commission anything to be made in China. Find the right manufacturer, pay a premium, and it can be done. It is mind blowing.

If you can make money from it, it will be made. Especially now in the global market, Sellers in China can expose themselves to potential buyers much easier.

will068 08-29-2013 05:18 PM

I don't know. Outside materials look good. Based on the pics, I would want to see a pics zoomed out a bit to see the lines and the shape. Plus, compare it with a legitimate pair. The NT crowd seems to think it's legit.

I would definitely scrutinize it more since most of the high quality variants out there are for Jordan XI Black Reds or Concords since they are the most popular and you can monetize them the most.. Do you see high quality variants of Jordan XV's or Jordan XVII's ?

Mr.Money 08-29-2013 06:17 PM

i'll post my 11's from china..hoping they aren't high quality knock-offs lol...i paid a premium for them at the time $260 including shipping.

edit: here they are..

Mr.Money those are grey market, under unauthorized sneakers. The blue tint is the same as the jordan V grape and fire reds.

The bottom of the shoe circles maybe off due to no quality control over grey market sneakers.

This argument should end, it's either...

Original Release
Grey Market (b-grades?)
Fakes

plain and simple

The CDP's were not good as well. I had to sell my set (XI /XII) because my XI pair was so uncomfortable. Felt like the insole was made out of cardboard.

iamon 08-30-2013 09:44 AM

Sorry this is the jordan thread but I didn't know where else to post these, and I saw the post with a pic of the EQT elevation a few posts ago. Couldn't get the original colorway so had to settle on these.
