My Boyfriends Mazda 3 Sport is a LEMON Just found this forum and very excited! My BFs mazda 2004 had problems from the start. Now his power steering light is on, he spent $500 on a power steering sensor and guess what?? It's still on, now he needs to spend $1000 on his power steering pump. Seriously? |
thought theres a tsb related to this, best to check it out @ bcmazda3.com |

The car is 2004, so it is out of warranty unless he got extended. Where did he take the car to get it fixed? It's weird that they "fixed" it and gave the car back with the light still on. |
they most likely cleared the code or reset it I mean and grabbed the guys money and said here yeah go all fixed lol I would go back there and lose my mind on the service techs/manager! what dealership was it? hopefully not mine haha |
One problem light = Lemon? Shit, I'd hate to ever sell you a car. |
pssst. Pre-Purchase Inspection. btw try topping up the PS Fluid |
OP: So are you coming onto revscene to ask because you're tired of your boyfriend's issues with his car or can he not come on here himself to ask about it? I'm not saying this to be disrespectful in anyway, but shouldn't he be asking since it's his car and he would/should know best? The first thing I would do is see if I can diagnose the error code and then go to a mazda forum and ask for them to decipher it for you. The information that you've given in your post really doesn't say much about the problem for anyone here to give any sort of useful solution. determining the error code is quite simple and you can google how to do it. once you have that, it'll give people a better idea on how to answer your question. |

:Orly: .....interesting... |
you lost me at 'boyfriend'. |
kinda reminded me of this lol Spoiler! |
you can always come for a ride in my car honey |
check Halogen Fluid, that will solve all issues and clear the fault codes |
there is a recall on mazda3's of that generation for the the parts within the power steering pump assembly and also the power steerlines. i think its a voluntary recall, as i've seen cars from out of town and even the states go in for warranty work. |
