Telus Modem/Router to Wireless N Hey guys, couldn't find a post on this, so I don't know if it has been discussed. I'm trying to see if I can use my old D-Link Xtreme wireless router with my Telus router/modem (it's a Cisco, black with a clear button in the middle). I'm not liking the signal strength the Cisco puts out, and I think my D-link performs better. I want it use it this way: Internetz --> telus modem --> dlink router Is it possible? Could anyone give me a guide to setting it up? |
Yes. But you'll need to disable the DHCP server on either the Telus router or the Dlink. As well as make sure the internal IP addresses are different. Otherwise they'll conflict. |
Another way to double ur coverage is doing wireless bridge. There's a firmware out there for the Telus gateway that lets u do that. |
