My TEIN SS coilovers on there way out??

K i'm running TEIN SS w/ EDFC, car is pretty low, not canned but about 2.5-3" aprox, they are about 3 years old, have i would estimate aprx 25 thou K on them, question is.. is it normal for the front to bottom out over say a moderate bump (nothing super deep or anything) in the road? That is sometimes, maybe once or twice a day driving about 3 or 4 hours. Sorry for my vague description.

what kind of car is this? Are Tein shocks/struts/whatever the same size as stock units? Most cars don't have all that much suspension travel. By lowering the car (3"?!) you are compressing your shocks the same amount, reducing the available travel. In a lot of cases, that's fine, but bottoming out is sort of expected when you lower something that much.

Unless your shocks are shortened so they maintain the same amount of travel. Also, are you sure you aren't hitting bump stops?
