Anything like the R34 MFD?

I'm wondering if any company makes something similar to the multifunction display an R34 has? I want to be able to monitor a fair number of things in my car that would make having standard gauges get ridiculous. If it's user configurable as far as what info is displayed that would be sweet.

The Apexi AFC shows a few little things. Not sure if that will cover what you want to see though...depends what you want to look at exactly.
I'm sure if you do some searching based off that you will find something to meet your needs

I have an SAFC but it isn't installed. I'd prefer to get some kind of multicolour LCD display I can mount to the dash that shows all the values/"gauges"

I'd like to be able to see my:
AFR
Oil temp
Oil pressure
boost
Water temp
intercooler water temp

and maybe a few other things.

HKS Camp System

Greddy Informeter

These two might be what you are looking for...

Also look at what Defi has to offer, I think they have a display that hooks up to your defi gauges that can display all of them in one unit, complete with warnings

x2 to greddy infometer!
be careful of thieves though

.Renn.Sport 06-02-2011 12:44 AM

only HKS CAMP can do the job

Be awesome and roll with a CarPC. I use OBD Link and Dash Command. Here are my gauges

I remember now it's Blitz R-VIT i-Color

I should state that this is for a 1991 Celica GTFour so I am told the Greddy won't work.

The HKS looks neat but very overpriced, I'd probably hit $1500+ to do what I want.
The Stack's expandability and options are what I want but I want a different display.
The Motec also looks great but that's no the kind of display I want.
Racepak Iq3 has the same issue as the Stack and Motec
Scangauge II doesn't have the look or info that I want.

The Blitz TouchBRAIN looks like it might do what I want but I can't read anything on that site.

Volvoman that CarPC idea might be my best bet, any suggestions on where to get more info on stuff like that?

Also, I should add that I would like to minimize the redundant information as much as possible. I have a speedo and rev gauge that work just fine so I don't need to see that anywhere else. Fuel economy as such is useless as well. Digital-style readings only are of no help because I would like to be able to keep track of things without directly reading numbers.

Volvoman 06-03-2011 08:16 PM

This is when I first had it working. I have modified the gauges to show only what my car will report.

This is OBD Link, it will read information from your car's OBD port.

This is Dash Command, the software you use to display information from OBD Link

http://www.palmerperformance.com/pro...mand/index.php

Dash Command can be skinned to look like whatever you like. Someone made and posted a GTR skin so I imported it into my Dash Command.

bump.

Anything work for non-OBDII cars (i.e. Skylines)?

underscore 11-15-2011 08:28 PM

I'm going with a custom setup for my RC eventually, and for my gf's Prelude, as all the pre-made ones suck and are overpriced.

Do you find the response laggy compared to wired gauges? Have people commented on differences between Scantool OBDLink and the other bluetooth OBD2 units out there that're half the price on Amazon?

hk20000 11-16-2011 08:03 AM

oh most gauges here no work with OBD1 cars..... Closest I would imagine is a Defi multi-link hooked up to a multi-display.

But it looks nothing as fancy as MFD.
So you take any one of these

and you hook it up like this

^^
Ah, ok. In that case I suppose the MFD is best except I would still need another aftermarket gauges (i.e. Boost in PSI, AFR, etc).

felixy69 11-17-2011 06:15 PM

my racepak shows all that !
