No, I've seen it before. It's an old trick previously done with video on TV's. This guy did a good job integrating his magic tricks into the iPad and how it operates, though.

hopefully someone won't sell another kidney

Ronin 06-05-2011 05:18 PM

Quite impressive to remember all that timing. His sleight of hand would be quite good if you didn't know but if you're looking for it, it's easy to spot since there's nothing misdirecting your attention.

But if you think about it. how did the milk disappear when he poured it?

For some reason, I keep thinking that the logo/pin on his shirt is the Canucks logo.

Trick glass. $20 at novelty stores, I'm sure.

Grandmaster TSE 06-06-2011 12:51 AM

all slight of hand, fake tennis ball haha

Ronin 06-06-2011 01:02 AM

No, real ball. You can see the pass. He palms the ball against the screen straight on with the camera so it just looks like his palm is right up against the screen.

At least that's what it looks like to me.

geeknerd 06-06-2011 05:26 AM

its a sponge tennis ball. even when he palms it his grip is small than an actually tennis ball size proving that its a sponge

Nah, all the tricks he did are pretty standard fare for magicians. What makes this cool is his timing it to the events taking place on the iPad.

Nintensity 06-06-2011 08:56 AM

Ahh. I just find it interesting how magicians are able to make objects disappear/appear, especially when they've already rolled up their sleeves/ wearing a t-shirt.

It kinda reminds me when I was a 8 year old kid, I pretended to be a magician and would hide objects in my long sleeve shirt lol

AzNightmare 06-06-2011 09:25 AM

Pretty good timing. I assumed this was all done in one cut.

Incredible sleight of hand.

Ronin 06-06-2011 12:54 PM

Ah, I see it now. Foam ball and he slips it behind.

Most of the time, he's holding something behind the iPad.

He's quite good but if you want to see some of the absolute best when it comes to sleight of hand, go watch Teller from Penn and Teller.

Yuffa 06-06-2011 03:17 PM

Impressive. It'd be pretty awesome if you can somehow think of similar tricks to impressive the ladies. It would be the life of the party for sure....;)
