There are a lot of things to do in this game. When you get tired of one thing, you can choose something else to do. Last night, we made a tunnel that stretched 3 biomes. Then we got to the sand, and it was a pain trying to build a tunnel through that, so we went with a skybridge for the desert.


One of my friends made a big obsidian generator. He accidentally let all the lava drain out, and it was a environmental disaster. It killed off all the plant life in the area. He dug a pit to avoid future catastrophes. I'm wondering if anyone out there has built a massive lava generator in the sky to destroy the world?

man im sooo nub, i get pwnt by slimes and zombies before i can even build some type of shelter LOL

Both..... I try joining any games and it gives that error.

I try hosting with and without hamachi, still gives me that error when my friends try to join....

What gives? :(

Talk to the Guide. He'll get you started. Basically, you want to build a basic shelter, first. Make sure it has walls, table and chair, so a vendor can move in. Upgrade your tools as soon as you can. It'll make work a lot lighter. You can also check out the Terraria wiki @ Terraria Wiki

lol I'm killing eater of worlds right now trying to get a better pick axe.

what do people mean by a server.. i just play with my cousin.. and he host a game everytime and it loads into his world so we can build it up or down :P

Terraria has a dedicated server mode, where the world can run without having the graphical part of the game open. It can be left on 24/7, and people can connect to it as long as it's running. My friends and I have gone through quite a few projects in the world I set up. You can run the dedicated server by going into the Terraria folder and start TerrariaServer.exe.
