How bad is the gas on the fx45?

hey guys im thinking about getting the fx-45 however, im also wondering how much it'll cost me for a full tank of gas a premium at the rate nowadays. Also how much mpg do you get out of it. and how much you guys spend per month on gas. thanks

Jayboogz 06-09-2011 05:28 PM

My rough estimate is prob gonna cost around 80-90 dollars a tank.

thanks hmm i think its more because my 3.2 cl-s is around 70 or so for premium gas and this car is 4.5L v8 which also takes premium gas

RevRav 06-09-2011 06:36 PM

The fuel tank is 90L. You can do the math yourself.
It would be easily over $130+ a tank to fill up.

As for how much mileage you can get out of it...why not join some FX35/45 forums?

Jayboogz 06-09-2011 06:37 PM

Whoa the tank is 90L??! Holy crap I thought most midsize suvs are around 50-60 l

Its not very good at all. I just went on a small road trip with my moms. I managed to get 18-20MPG, all highway, driving it like a baby.

chann3r 06-09-2011 06:51 PM

haha shit that's quite expensive. um I actually joined one but the are in the states and they're usually highway driving so its kinda different I think. What which SUV would u say would have the best gas mpg or best gas? x5, fx45 or rx350

Jayboogz 06-09-2011 06:59 PM

Imo if your looking for fuel economy don't get an SUV and with the cars you've listed paying for gas shudnt b a problem

yeah i understand where your coming from. I just don't want to have to pay 500 bucks a month going from my house to BCIT and back which is like a 15 min drive

Shorn 06-09-2011 08:18 PM

then don't look for luxury suvs? maybe go with something like a crv or rav4.. gotta pay to play

ImportXxX 06-09-2011 08:44 PM

i just got a fx35, so far it's not that bad. It's the same engine as a 350 or g35. You don't have to get a fx45. For city driving V6 is good enough for me

if you can afford a fx45/x5 but have to worry about gas price.. you are stretching your budget too far. get a cheaper car so you have extra money leftover for gas.

iirc my g35's tank is 75 L

50-60 isn't a lot of gas as most cars should be able to do about 300-400 km on a tank, and 50-60 isn't possible for most suvs with a V6+
