Up Harrison

Went up Harrison with Nick the other day. Took the hard way in and out of Hale creek and went down to Fossil beach then played around in 16k for a bit.

Here's some pics.

Good pics, which beach do you call fossil beach?

GabAlmighty 06-19-2011 08:57 PM

Umm, from what I remember... Nick and I headed out of Hale the easy way and then took a right down another offshoot. Couldn't make it down to the beach though as I said:P

How far did you get up the road. Any washouts?

When i was up there with Gab we were only about 24km up but I was past 20 mile bay on Sunday and it was fine, in a few weeks I'm going further up to camp so well see. Some rough patches past 30km or so but it's always been like that from what I remember

Ya, the drainage ditches get pretty rough past about 30km.

Ok I know that trail. I actually helped make that trail 3-4 years ago. Man it's easy now.

how hard was it back then? stock trucks can make it down to the beach, it used to be tricky getting out becuase of the logs but people have stacked up the logs to make a ramp. i hear "lost lake" is quite a challenge, i want to give it a try. we're going to try that trail called "fuct" up slyvester, but i'm probably going to park my truck and ride with a friend hahah

Back then you could only get up with a winch at that part. One of my buddies running 40's in his small block dug some nice ruts.

Fuct is easy now, I did it in my toy 3-4 years ago then it was hard. If you see the pink bead lock on the rock give respect for my buddy Stuckle RIP

So we took a little trip up West Harrison this Sat. in our stock forester. Our main goal was to try to see if we could navigate down to Hale creek. Unfortunately, we didn't make it. And instead decided to head down to Tipella and try to find the Hot Springs. After couple hours of driving, we made it to the hot springs.

On our way back, we decided to trek down the west lillioet FSR and came back home thru Pemberton.

It was a exhausting, but fun day. Saw quite a few of black bears on the FSRs. Definitely will do it again. Kinda sad that our car couldn't make it down to Hale creek tho.
