Those two were absolutely brutal, why do the good play-by-play announces always have to go to Toronto? :(

Don't even get me started on Kevin Weeks, he should just stop talking.

Because CBC doesn't give a shit about anyone west of Toronto.

Before the game, Hordichuk said this:
"I am big advocate of having a big guy on the fourth line just to protect those guys. It's great when I get into a game like this because those are the guys (Sedins) you want to try to abuse on the ice."

5 seconds into his first shift, tries to hit Ballard, get's himself injured:

Ballard was probably thinking: :fuckthatshit:

I'm worried

It's so weird watching him play against the canucks. Only saw him some months ago while attending the same high school like a normal kid. Heard he has potential for an 8-figure salary in the near future. damn.

After netting two early goals, they decided to call it a night.

CANUCKS SHOPPING BALLARD?
TheFourthPeriod.com
The Vancouver Canucks are looking to make a move and general manager Mike Gillis is reportedly shopping veteran defenseman Keith Ballard.
According to the Ottawa Sun, Gillis would like to trade Ballard, who has four-years left on his contract with a $4.2 million annual cap hit.

The Canucks could be shopping another defenseman, though Ballard might be the odd man out of Gillis can find a trading partner.

Why would we be doing that right now seeing as we're not exactly loaded on D-men and Ballard who has been great so far this season.

Besides, relatively sure I read an article citing from either Ballard or his agent saying that Gillis will not be trading him this year.

And who the fuck reports for the fourth period?

CorneringArtist 10-16-2011 06:54 PM

CRS has already pointed out why, reasonably, this moves makes no sense for the Canucks. Augment that with Fourth Period not having established itself as a reputable source and a bum Ottawa Sun link, and I think is is PURE horseshit.

If it's true, I'll shit a brick.

spoon.ek9 10-16-2011 09:37 PM

what in the fuck. if they trade ballard (i'm 95% sure they won't) i'll definitely be all :fulloffuck:

Tim Budong 10-16-2011 10:47 PM

Keith Ballard, that contract only works well for teams looking at hitting cap floor
and with the CBA expiring, its even harder to trade his contract

that is all looking at STRICTLY NUMBERS

With the void left by Ehrhoff, Ballard becomes an important piece of the pie for the Canucks.

I'll be the first to say Im not a big fan of Ballard, hes not going anywhere. Ballard has shown signs of improvement already, coupled with the fact that it seems like him and Tanev look great together. Tanev can mentor Ballard, thus his worth a leader comes into play. The Canucks prospects dont look too promising either in terms of whos actually ready
