CRS has already pointed out why, reasonably, this moves makes no sense for the Canucks. Augment that with Fourth Period not having established itself as a reputable source and a bum Ottawa Sun link, and I think is is PURE horseshit.

and with the CBA expiring, its even harder to trade his contract

With the void left by Ehrhoff, Ballard becomes an important piece of the pie for the Canucks.

I'll be the first to say Im not a big fan of Ballard, hes not going anywhere. Ballard has shown signs of improvement already, coupled with the fact that it seems like him and Tanev look great together. Tanev can mentor Ballard, thus his worth a leader comes into play. The Canucks prospects dont look too promising either in terms of whos actually ready
