Hope we will get to see Schneider play in the playoff his year!

lol he would have had to have made close to 1000 saves to jump that much in save percentage

I care more about Kesler flipping the switch for the playoffs. Since the trade deadline he's got like 4 pts in 15 games. While Pahlsson has 7 since coming here. Sure, you could say with games like last night that Burr and Kes were eating up most of the pk time, but you would imagine after acquiring Pahlsson that it would allow Kes to play less of a shut down role and focus more on scoring.

I don't think this has ever been done in history.

They always go with either #1 goalie or the hottest goalie.

There's no room for risk and experimentation in the playoffs.

Pretty sure one year when the canucks played the Avalanche in the playoffs against Patrick Roy and Co. the nucks went with alternating goalies though they still lost.

I read his book, Patriotic Hearts, and Furlong felt REALLY bad about his French. He was in a lose-lose situation: cater to the French crowd and have his French laughed at, or minimize the French content and have the French complain.

Canadiens are always picking francophones over quality players/staff

It's a political thing!

Since the PP keeps slipping, where do you see it at the end of the regular season? We're currently 4th, at 20.6%. I say we drop down to 6th.

That was a no win situation..avs were stacked and won the cup that year

highfive 03-29-2012 10:36 AM

I think if we score 3 more PP goals, we can jump back to 2/3 overall.

Currently, we are 23G out of 117 PP chances.

Don't get it, we are one of the top teams in the NHL yet we are at the very bottom for PP chances. Fucking refs...

Ya that's because Cloutier was an up-and-comer goalie who has really proven himself yet so they decided to go with the more experienced veteran goalie.

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that more than 1,000 single-game tickets for all home games in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs will go on sale this Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m.

The tickets will be for sale via telephone or internet only. Fans can buy the tickets online at canucks.com/tickets or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-855-523-6800. Two days later, on Monday, April 2, tickets will be available at the Rogers Arena Box Office and Ticketmaster Ticket Centres based on availability. Tickets will be distributed once the Round 1 game schedule is confirmed and announced.

Ticket prices for Round 1 start at $135. One year ago at this time, the Canucks website advertised Round 1 tickets starting at $90 — representing a 50 per cent increase.

Based on availability, each household will be eligible to purchase a maximum of four tickets per game.

All present Canucks ticket holders can buy their playoff tickets in advance of the public on-sale as part of their benefits package. Playoff Paks for Round 1 and 2 will also be available to Canucks Group Leaders, Power Play Pak buyers, Blue Line wait list members and other members of the Canucks family.
