Where is the best place to rent a yacht locally for a day? Hey RS, I have an event coming up and we want to rent a yacht for 4 hours. Anyone had experience renting one? Where is the best place to rent one? We have about 70-90 people attending. We are looking at this one right now but it doesn't seem like something that fancy.. Or are my expectations too high? http://www.magicyachtcharters.com/magic_hornblower.php This one is $2220 for 4 hours. Is there a better bang for the buck? TIA ! PS the event is on the 25th so we left this pretty late :( Posted via RS Mobile |
For a 70-90 people event, and you still haven't booked it yet? Most high school grad cruise event use this one: http://www.accentcruises.ca/yachts.htm They tend to use "Vancouver Spirit" most of the time. http://www.vancouvercharters.com/showboat.html Offers 4 hours of cruise with dinner for $75/pp but that might be out of your budget. Try to contact them and see if you can do without the food. |
rofl, what a great planner. |

lmao its tonight. fucking raining but skies are clearing up. we got a huge discount so we got a pretty good deal imo. $2200 for a 100 passenger ship for 6 hours. add $20 per person for a dinner of pasta, salad and roast angus beef/roast turkey with bread. ill upload pics tmrw edit: we ended up with a bigger yacht. its newer, bigger and cheaper. lolwut http://www.magicyachtcharters.com/magic_moment.php |
wahh we spent 3g for a 100 ppl just for a lounge lol |

That works out to only $22/pp without food...not bad |
honestly, id pay as much as $500 for yesterdays trip haha. most of my friends are going to different schools around canada and the states and this is probably the last time we will hang out as a huge group. yesterday was one of those once in a lifetime events and you cant buy memories. the trip itself wasnt anything special.. it was just cruising from stanley park to the end (somewhere after lions gate) then back. some nice sceneries. really glad the sky cleared up and it was sunny as fuck despite the fact that it was raining/hailing hard in the morning. something you want to remember when going on a cruise is that wear lots of layers. it was cold as fuck.. i was wearing a windbreaker and a crewneck and it wasnt that cold for me.. some girls were wearing dresses and they stayed inside half the time. food was superb for $20. there was about 5-7 security guards yesterday. security was pretty strict. before you get on the boat they do 3-7 minute body searches before you get on the boat. rules are strict and if you break a single rule they turn the boat around. anyways, here are a few pics. ill try to upload more tmrw as i am pretty fucking tired LOL again RevRav, thanks for the help earlier! :fullofwin: this was the yacht. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4227288_n.jpg taken on the boat http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4563546_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._1325831_n.jpg |
