Computer Advice/Help

Hey guys,

I'm not a computer geek, but i would like some advices from you guys!

I'm kinda bored with my macbook and thinking of selling it, however I'm not sure which one should I really buy... Desktop or laptop?

Can you guys help me what are the benefits between them?

And what are the best computers out there?

Please help a n00b, thanks!

What are you using the computer for?
When are you using it?
What is your budget?

I would be using the computer for videos, music, internet, and possibly playing games.
I use it everyday if that what you mean...
Um I would say below 1000 if it match my needs, if not then I have no problem increasing it

Do you NEED the portability or the space saving of a laptop?
If not, go with Desktop. You get way more performance for your money with desktops.

when you say videos do you mean just watching or editting as well?
if you just need a computer at home to watch videos, listen to music, surf, and some gaming you can custom build one for under $500

This is a pretty redundant thread sorry. But it's entirely up to you to decide if you need a laptop or a desktop. The differences are just too many and obvious.
