Pontiac Solstice with a 2JZ (yes, supra) swap I came across this on a forum that I frequent. Apparently the engine mounts on the 2JZ matches perfectly with the LNF (ecotec) engine; and the stock Aisin transmission! I would love to have a Saturn Sky with a 2JZ engine (essentially a Solstice with a prettier face) Quote: |
any videos of this beast if its true and works |
Wow, it'll be like Solstice is on crack! |
It is still a 'work in progress.' The build page is here: (I'm not sure if it's OK to post a link to another car forum..) HTML Code: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5335430-2JZ-Solstice-Swap/page3 |
YES PLZ! I love Saturn Skys |
^Me too.. but the trunk really pisses me off.. it has like 7.9cubic ft of space.. where as a MX5 has close to 10.. You can fit two hand carriers in the MX5 and still have some space left.. |
2JZ engine, no shit... :fullofwin: |
Damn that LNF is already a pretty good motor, direct injection and all that. I always wanted to swap one into my car lol. Then again 2JZ is just beast |
|
Why do they want the soltice as a platform? |
Thats awesome!:fullofwin: that would be so much fun! |
thats gangster |
A 2J in anything is full of win |

Nice swap! The car has a ton of potential, it's just that shitty little motor they put in doesn't cut it. Ecotecs can be powerful as hell, but nothing beats displacement. Like this turbo LS7 version. http://youtu.be/6H4b8TEWlqQ http://www.mallettcars.com/images/so...nginefetts.jpg |
The car is running!!! |
Straight Cut Gears FTMFW!!! Sounds beast. I would rock the shit outa that car. Berz out. |
not quite a solstice... or a supra... but... :sweetjesus: |
damn these people and these beasts... |
thats gotta be a fun car. |
no longer a slowstice ;) rich |
Harder than you'd rock a civic with tats and ed hardy? Quote:

LOL from the pics quoted they make it seem so easy "then we pointed at some stuff, moved some stuff, attached stuff, AND THE 2JZ WAS IN!" |
^ Yeah, the captions are win. :fullofwin: |
