Why do we have an Aboriginal Heritage Day and not a Chinese, Indian, British, or French Heritage day? They all had vital roles in making this country what it is today.

Well, maybe because they were the first settlers here? Yes, the Chinese, Indian, British, and French all held a vital role in developing this country but come on...Let the Aboriginals have their day

I remember Trout Lake used to host these aboriginal festivals that had native dances and fireworks... i guess it happened on aboriginal day?

been so long those events were actually quite fun as a kid

Wish I could be in BC for the festivities :\

There's a totem pole in Kowloon Park actually.. I think it's Salish. But it is in extremely rough shape, and will probably be taken down sooner rather than later :(
