do they do car wheels too?

white rocket 06-24-2011 07:56 AM

yup. I've used Dynapro for wheels and other random car stuff. Good price, decent turn-around time, guy is friendly and straight up. They use Air Strip at Shell and Bridgeport for blasting. Not sure if they can match any and all paint codes through. I remember them having a limited selection of colors. like 30 or so.

I'd recommend them to anyone.

Rainbow Powdercoating in Coquitlam,I have used them a few times as well as other people I know. They have a large selection of colors, bigger than most places and the owner is a bike enthusiast and knows how to powder coat a bike frame properly.

im guessing tires will have to be removed before wheels can be powder coated right? any idea roughly how much it is to powder coat a set of wheels?

spyker 06-24-2011 05:04 PM

Everything has to be removed before powdercoating, including the wheel bearings and valves.Basically anything you don't want coated.

The price depends on the color you choose, lets say you want basic gloss white for the wheels, then it will be cheap because white powder coat is the most commonly used color for many different applications, but if you want to get fancy and go with a candy blue powdercoat for example, then you will be spending more money.

Thanks, I'll probably end up going here then, once I have the $$ :D

I'd much rather be giving business to fellow riders than those who focus on appliances and whatnot

Whatever you do, DON'T go to Hi-Pro in Langley. If you want to know why PM me. Or just take my word for it.

Rainbow > ALL

I had mine done at Rainbow, took like 2 months though

^ were you looking for a cheaper price? rainbow usually grouped a bunch of clients that are doing the same color together so everyone will get a cheaper price. Other wise, they charge more if they just do an individual job.
