Anyone sold a car to someone in the states?

I'm looking to sell my car to someone in the states and am looking to bring it across the border for them. Its a rolling chassis so i will have to trailer it over.

How would i transfer title?
Anyone have any experience with this?

same as how you would sell a car here, its up to them to register the car there after you do the title transfer with icbc

I would suggest you let the buyer deal with all the export/import/custom stuff before you even think about bringing the car across the border.

This.

I wouldn't even attempt bringing it over with a trailer. The possibility of legal consequences with US CBP aren't worth it.

ive brought cars over to the states on trailers before. There are no legal consequences with regards to us border patrol.

IF the trailer belongs to you, make sure you have the registration for the trailer that shows you are the owner. The same goes for the truck. If the truck and or trailer belongs to a friend, make sure they accompany you so they can provide proof of ownership.

Also ensure you have all the canadian paperwork for the car including a ICBC transfer form filled out with the usual information. As long as all that is covered, you wont have any issues getting across the border with your vehicle on the back of a trailer.

good luck.
