Interview for Warehouse position

Okay, so i know when you go to an interview you are always told to dress pretty formal like wearing a shirt and tie. Well what about for a not so bussiness environment. Should I still wear a shirt and tie? It would feel pretty weird and awkward if the person meeting with me is wearing a t-shirt and jeans when I am wearing a shirt and tie. Oh and when the person called me he didnt call it an interview but said he would like to meet with me. So what do you guys think shirt and tie for meeting or tshirt and jeans for warehouse position.

Depends on the warehouse.
You'd dress slightly different between, say, a skateboarding warehouse, or a unionized (BCL, Superstore, etc) warehouse.
It seems like you can lose the tie, but I wouldn't wear jeans.

Don't wear a t-shirt, but don't wear a suit either.

The general rule I go by is dressing one level higher than you would working in the position being interviewed for. Wear nice jeans, with a tucked in button down shirt and a tie if it's a higher paying warehouse position. Get a hair cut if you haven't had one recently.

Coming from someone who has actually conducted interviews in warehousing and construction, my impression when someone walks in wearing a suit is that they don't understand the work environment. If someone wears a t-shirt, a hat, has shaggy hair or is unshaven I wouldn't consider them even if they had 30 years experience

T-shirt and jeans. I did it for DHL and was fine. Although mine wasnt really a interview...I just went in and he gave me the forms to start working. If you want, do nice jeans and shirt but no tie. You'll be over-doing it.

a good golf shirt is fine for warehouse.
