LBG Autospa Deal Find 88% off hey guys, LBG Autospa has a special on DealFind for their Full Interior and Exterior Detailing ($400 value) for $49 (88%). that's 8hrs of work for $49 lol. http://www.dealfind.com/vancouver/lbgautospa they've got 2 shops. one in richmond and one in downtown. just wanna know, did anyone on RS have their car detailed by them before? |
Is this place good? |
I should take my 4runner there hmmmm |
$49 for a full detail couldn't hurt lol. i just bought one to try it out. voucher expires on july 4th 2012. i'm tempted to get another one so i can do another detail in 6-7 months lol. |
This deal seems too good to be true, they must be losing money if the original value is really $400....even if it takes 3 hours of work, 3 hours x $15 an hour = $45 in labour cost alone. I just dont understand how the company can afford to do this, unless the "$400 detail" is really just BS, and all it is is a 40 minute wash/vacuum/windows/half ass wax/wheel cleaner. |
^^^^ sounds too good to be true and at first i thought it was LG autospa LOL |
I bet the place is going under. They have sold over 1000 packages with 3 days left. There is no way they could do that many washes in a year. it's going be impossible to get an appointment with that many vouchers sold. |
Someone's up $55K. :o |
i wouldn't bring my car there if they're doing so many cheap details workers will definitely do half ass job |

Well I'd let 911fanatic touch the shit outa my car |
their website does list a 2 stage polish for their exterior detail. but on the dealfind details, that was left out haha. not sure if it will be included. from their site: Exterior Detail - $200 (Approx 4 hours) Customary car wash (see car wash for details) Windows cleaned Degreasing of the door jams & trunk Cleaning of the wheel wells Claying (light clay bar) of the vehicle Cleansing wash (2nd car wash) Two stage polish will be applied Vehicle will be machined with diamond cut polish Vehicle will then be machined with standard polish to re-blend paint surface Hand glazing of the vehicle Hand waxing of the vehicle anywho, i'll book an appt when the voucher is valid (july 4th) and see how it goes down lol. they've got 2 shops, so i don't see how bad their business can be right? but at the same time, for them to put a deal like this, something's up lol. |
I just bought one too. They probably just try to upsell you on polishing when you get there. Even then I'm sure it would be less than a full detailing with polish elsewhere. But I agree, who would spend $400 on a detailing job normally and not expect a full polish included?? |
How much are they paying dealfind? I believe groupon takes 50% 0f the sale. |
what a joke. either a)they usually include polish for the $400 price and took it out here = false adertising on the original price or b) they normally charge $400 for a wash and polish = total ripoff in any case i dont do business with shady ppl like this. if they are trying so hard to hide the real worth of this from me, i dont want to know what theyd do to my car Posted via RS Mobile |
that's polishing job price without polishing. There's no way they'll spend 8 hours trust me rofl. |
Technically, you aren't really supposed to make money on a groupon deal...its all about customer acquisition. That being said, at the 50% mark, most businesses are going to try to at least break even. Not that renovations/construction really fits the groupon model well, but I have a real problem with someone making money on my ass when I'm losing it. Had that happen once as a sub-con..still bitter. I do understand that the customer is key, and they should be rewarded for delivering a chunk of customers that they acquired for me-but at the end of the day you've possibly acquired a new customer that comes pre-trained to expect you to drop your pants on pricing to keep them. No thanks. I want customers that are of the belief that "I want a great product. I want this. I want you. Oh, ps how much does it cost?" I've worked with a few that do that backwards "I'm broke, I need this to be cheap, but I want this wall removed, top end marble on the floor and lets nuke the master bath too, oh, this ridiculously expensive flat screen needs to be mounted on the wall-it cost more than your truck...can you do it for free?" And its a frustrating experience, every single time. Now these guys are shooting themselves in the foot. No one is going to become an avid customer when they drive in expecting a $400 love fest for their car-8hrs of people meticulously detailing their ride, forgetting they are only paying $50, and drive out with shitty work so they don't hemorrhage money on the loss. |
