I'm planning to go to one of the revolving restaurants, but I know there's only two in Van (I think). So between cloud 9 and Vancouver revolving restaurant, which one would be a better choice?

Revolving restaurant has a little more selections IIRC, but in terms of ambience and view, I'd prefer Cloud 9. Just my opinion.

I would avoid Top of Vancouver in Harbour Centre. I worked there for 2 years, food is disgusting and very crappy ambiance. Caters to tourists. Let's just say it doesn't have the best hygiene standards, food quality, etc.

If you really wanna go up there, go there between lunch and dinner time. Go up and have a coffee or beer. Coffee has free refills. Will cost less than a ticket to the observatory. You can walk around and check out the view of Vancouver.
argreed food sucks there don't know why my family used to love going here once a week for dinner -.-

Teahouse in Stanley park has a nice view of the water looking into the sunset. Prices are fair, food is not bad

Favourite waterside views are Stonegrill, Dockside and Aqua Riva.

It's the first thing you see on your right as you get to the top via the gondola
