| HDTV Screen Resolution Help
I hooked up my computer to my Sony 46" HDTV. I am using a 5770 Radeon video card in my Computer.
The problem I am having is that the picture from the computer doesn't stretch to fill the screen. There is a black border all the way around the screen.
I stretched the image in the TV menu settings so that it would fill the display. But now it is stretched when I watch my other inputs as well.
Is there any way to have it set up so the display will fill the entire screen and I don't have to stretch the picture in my TV menu.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

The sony will be the main monitor. The resolution showing on the computer was 1920 x 1080.

Are you duplicating the screens? With my setup, I had the same problem. On the computer, I had to set the resolution differently in order to display everything properly on the tv.

If you have your TV set to "original" it should go pixel by pixel hence filling the entire screen.
And remember to setup the correct resolution in your PC.

Make sure you set the scaling to 0. It happens to my Toshiba as well every time I reinstall the video driver.

I had the same problem with my 5770's for a while, it has to do with the underscan settings which should be set to zero. It was fixed in recent driver updates and I haven't had the problem since.
