I have an ipad 1, and it is a piece of shit. I can't believe anyone ever found the ipad 1 to be acceptable in terms of how it performs. As for the OS itself, I think once Android's puts out a more tablet oriented version, it will be by far the better choice for tablets as well. I hope that means many of the game developers make ports, because that's what is really going to matter. Usefulness of one product vs brand power of another, but all that really matters to me is where the good apps are. |

SGS 2 seems to be an awesome entertainment phone. Flash too! |

This is the ROM (MIUI) i am currently using. This video has the older version but it should highlight most of the features without some annoying nerd talking in the video. The one i have runs snappier since it's more matured and optimized further. I absolutely love the notification/toggle bar @ 0.20. [EDIT] For comparasion's sake, this is video is from May, version 1.5.13 while I currently have 1.7.1. They release a new version every Friday and it's optional if you want to update or not. |

In terms of speed, its true that many android phones were slow, but that's because the the hardware wasn't truly optimized for the OS. With dual core processors, the OS is completely FLAWLESS. speed is not an issue anymore and the OS as a whole is butttery smooth. Try out a galaxy s 2, you'll be surprised. |

I like these vid's , but it's a little unfair since the SGS2's specs are way above the iphone 4, what i'd really like to see is the iphone 5 vs SGS2. I'm not an iphone or android fanboy but the iphone 4 was keeping up decently to the SGS2 on web browsing which is a good for the iphone, but I was expecting the SGS2 to blow the iphone away speed wise. |
^ u have to keep in mind that the OS's are very different, so you cant realli compare them in terms of speed. Android utlizes much more resources, iOS is very very simple (it better be fucking fast! lol). Compared to previous androids, the SGS2 blows them all out of the water. You could jam it with ram-consuming widgets, live wallpapers, background running apps, etc. etc., and it would still be super smooth |

i think android ice cream will bring android tablets on even competition with apple despite their iOS 5 update. |
I used an iphone 3gs for a year and I've had my galaxy s since november, I can't see myself going back. Theres not enough customization and they restrict too much shit on the iphone. And I hate how you have to pay for literally everything. I was streaming the canucks game on my galaxy s from the cbc website and my coworker with an iphone was trying to as well. Only they found they couldn't unless they got the app and paid to watch the game. Thats lame...the OS is painfully boring too, and you have to jailbreak it to change things. Oh but if a new version with better stuff comes out don't jailbreak it yet you have to wait 6 months for someone to figure out how to break it first, no thanks. |

My wife uses it at home and rarely turns on the computer anymore. She can do all her e-mails, Facebook and web browsing on the iPad. There have been numerous polls that show people with an iPad are now spending less time on their PC and more on the iPad, likely for the same reasons my wife uses hers - there's no point firing up a PC to do such trivial day-to-day tasks. And you can't bring the PC with you to the couch while watching a show (for example). I don't know why people seem to think an iPad is useless. If you find it useless than I think you'll find any tablet useless. |

It's a vbulletin pre-done app. You just customize it :) |
^ That makes sense. I haven't used vBulletin in ages even though I have a license. Posted via RS Mobile |

I use youtube on my phone ALOT and this video alone makes me want to switch to an Android I never understood why apple's youtube app is never updated. It's barely changed at all since iOS1! Damn RS, influencing me to switch to Android phones. The thing I don't like about Android phones is there's too many out there. This makes it harder for they to release OS updates because they have to do it for each phone. I also grew fond of the look of iOS. I know it's not a big deal-breaker but it's a nice touch. Looking at my friend's Android, I feel lonely and sad lol. |

yea for jailbroken iphones it doesnt come like that out of the box =| if im paying the money for the phone i want the full potential without voiding my warranty |
How many hours of use are you Android guys getting on your phones? And I'm talking about real life usage without turning down the brightness or only using WiFi. I do use my phone primarily for phone calls, emails, text and web browsing and I've drained my BB during busy 12-14hr work days and the last thing I want is to constantly worry about finding a charging source. I know there are battery optimizers out there how are they? |
I use my BB 9700 os6 fairly heavy. not crazy gaming or youtube all day but Im always on it with email, bbm, browser, txt, phone, etc. I plug it in at night with 65%+ battery. |

The only thing I use the ipad for now is for watching video on the road, or the occasional little game here and there. It's too slow for anything else, so I'd rather use the Desire HD. |
hands down android |

Does any Android phone have high resolution that matches the iPhone 4's Retina Display? After using the iPhone 4, I can't go back to lower-res phones. |
There's no need to go over 0.4 megapixels on a 4" display, let alone the small 3.5" screen the iphone uses. At normal distances, I bet you wouldn't notice the difference. I know I don't, and I am kind of picky (ok VERY picky) when it comes to things like resolutions. For instance, the ipad's low resolution looks horrible on such a big screen. So the answer is no.. not yet anyway. I'm sure someone will eventually buy some DVGA screens and come up with a way to market it as well. |
^I noticed the difference in resolution right away when I look at either the old iPhones or my friend's Galaxy S. As vibrant the colors are on the Amole, nothing beats Sharpness. |
Yeah side by side you definitely notice the sharpness |
