Canadian in Glasgow seeing Zombies Kills a Man
 

This happened back in October I did a search couldn't find a thread about it

anyway this chinese teen living in Canada is crazy and went to Glasgow because someone in his head told him to

while there he said everyone looked like zombies and he was being told he was going to get attacked by them

he eventually stabs a guy to death :/


the trial just ended and he's not guilty by reason of insanity

This bugs me sooo much. So much of this is preventable. I guess it's for his psychiatrist to actually predict that if Zhan was off his meds, he would kill someone...

It's the responsibility of the health team and his parents/caregivers to monitor his mental health. How could his parents not know something was up if he wanted to fly to Glasgow all by himself?

this world is fucking retarded. how can someone who killed a totally innocent hardworking guy just get off on an insanity plea? murder is fucking murder, i dont care what anyone says. people that are able to do these kinds of things are sick and twisted and have no place on this planet amongst the rest of us.

When people are this sick, they are not aware of their actions. If anybody should be held accountable, it's the parents, family and caregivers.

normally id agree with that. lots of people 'get off' on insanity pleas when they are fully aware of what they are doing.


but this guy, was seriously bat shit insane. and will most likely spend the rest of his life in one big concrete building or another.

Given the choice between spending the rest of your life in prison or an insane asylum, I'd go with the normal prison every time, it's retarded how people think a mental disorder plea = someone is getting away scot free...

I don't know about what happens in other countries, but in Canada, you don't get off "scott free." the ruling here is called being 'not criminally responsible due to mental illness' and can be worse than being found guilty in some cases. Sure you don't go to a normal high/med/min security prison. But you also don't get a normal sentence either. Instead your sentenced to mental and psychiatric care in an indefinite sentence.

That particular case is a rarity in and of itself.

His parent (or his dad specifically) is a powerful and prominent man in Japan. It is because of this influence that he was able to get his son out of trouble/prosecution.

This is NOT the case here or for the vast majority of cases that go with the insanity plea.
