Some good gains on a h22 with just bolt ons

H22A1

Iceman CAI
Hytech replica header with modified 3" exit
3" exhaust
tuned on crome by Crescent

Made some huge gains in the midrange, as much as 19whp and 20wtq

183whp baseline

oh and a 55whp difference from from RG's dyno to a dynojet just to show how low RG's dyno reads.
Don't worry about your #'s Just look at the power you make before and after. That's all that matters.

lolwut..... I know dynos vary and all, but 55whp difference really? Thats like 33%...

TheSalesman 07-08-2011 11:55 PM

they don't call it the heartbreaker for nothing.
I'll be bringing my built h22 prelude back to Crescent for some more awesome tuning.

i dont even know why people bothers wasting their money and time dynoing at RG, reading some fucked up numbers

it's not what dyno you go to, to read ghigh numbers, its how you can increase those numbers on that same dyno.

i gained 80 whp dyno'ing on a dyno jet as opposed to a mustang dyno

RG purposely makes their dyno read low, so when your like wtf why am i not making any power?

they try and sell you shit to make it faster.

brilliant business model

TheSalesman 07-12-2011 12:14 PM

yeah the #'s don't really matter.
Honestly it's a tuning tool and the only thing that matters is the gains you make from the tuning. Unless, you're a dyno queen and like to brag about your #'s.

Actually, we've been losing business because it reads lower than other dynos, and customers would be happier to see higher numbers. Also, we don't have customers that come here for just power pulls anymore. We didn't change our dyno reading because we don't want to lose our own referance from previous dyno records. Our dyno has been always consistent, and we want to keep it that way. So, what does it mean if we just give higher numbers when your car actually has only so much horse power? Does it make your car fast?
Maybe it does in this internet world.

We've had the dyno for 7 years, and have a large enough database to make any kind of comparison from thousands of pulls and tunes that we've done in the past.

If I was a good business man, I would make it read higher numbers for sure, so we could make ourselves look like better tuners that make magical numbers, or at least we wouldn't have to waste our time explaining to customers why our dyno reads so low, or send customers to other dyno shops to get a so called "proper number" to keep them happy. If "numbers" are what you're after, well, certainly we won't be able to help you.

They tuned my s2k back in May, and like others they didn't try to sell me anything. they are the only one's I would trust tuning my car with.

#'s are going to change no matter what dyno you are on.

want to see how fast your car really is? take it to the track and let those #'s talk

Are you actually serious? Do you even know the mechanical differences between a Mustang and Dyno Jet dyno?
