That's right! It was my first car, no driving experience, no insurance discount. I was paying just under 1,400/year |
Is it possible to buy an old ass car that still retains some possibility of having fun? Although the possibilities in a VW Bus are endless :P I was thinking about stuff along the lines of an old ass CRX, 240, Corolla GTS, etc. |

Friend of mine's trying to convert me into getting an old ass RX7 (FC) and popping a v8 in it. edit; I'm also looking into that E30, but all the ones on CL are absolutely falling apart, and would probably need rebuild motors or new engines entirely. It would probably be cheaper to just get an old rx7 with something like an LT1 (which I saw for like a grand on CL). But I love the look of the E30s also. |
What's your budget? I've seen a few clean or done-up E30's recently but they were going for around $4k to $5k. e.g. 1991 BMW M 318is 5 speed e30 |

i currently have an ep3 and prelude both insured at the same time.. and on my insurance papers.. they are EXACTLY the same.. soo.. you may want to cross prelude off your list |
1992 Celica GT-S is $102/month for me to insure. |
gonna go with RWD |
If you want truly cheap, you'll need an older FWD sedan. Unless you want to try and be some kinda DK, I don't get why RWD would matter in a car you just want to be cheap? |
interested in a paseo? |
Has anyone paid off insurance for an S13 240? N driver, collision/theft. |
2010 SX4 crossover 110 a month with everything 600 collision 300 glass f&t |
