Dog in YVR

My gf is flying this Sunday. Can I bring my dog inside to hang out a bit before she goes into check-ins? I figure if it's ok he probably has to stay in the kennel but I'm not sure. Anyone knows?

How big is the dog?

My dog is about 15lbs, and I had him walking on the ground with me and was told off once.
Workers and security don't seem to mind whenever I carried him by hand, though. I've been doing that since.

^ Yeah, it's only cuz we (workers) don't want to trip over them or wander around, even if you have them on a short leash. Can't speak for the security personnel, although I'm sure it's the same logic. Hopefully OP's dog isn't the kind that likes to bark for attention, or you'll get told off or kicked out.

From what I remember dogs need to be carried or in a kennel. For safety reasons they are not allowed to be walking inside.

Just wear dark shades and bring a white walking stick when you walk in with the dog.

i put mine on the luggage kart before and was told dogs will not be allowed in anymore.

Mine is 11lbs and is a very quiet guy.

So I'm getting mixed messages here. I'll just put him in the kennel and carry him in then. That'd be cool with the securities right? I mean he's in a kennel... :)

Yeah that should be fine. If he's quiet, carrying him in your arms shouldn't even be a problem... unless you run into an A hole... I know there's definitely one for sure, don't usually see him on weekends though.
