Graphic card required?

Question regarding onboard graphic vs stand alone htpc graphic card such as Hd 5670, or Hd 5750 or HD 6670 or Hd 6750.

Currently the Htpc is used by my wife for streaming TV shows onto our 52inch plasma TV via HDMI cable with sound to audio receiver.

Her streaming program is an asian software program that is based on subscription only. The service is similar to netflix or Hulu.

The picture quality is decent with slight blur and pixelation when watching it at full screen or even regular windowed mode.

Will upgrading her htpc's onboard graphic AMD 760G chipset to the above mentioned ATI standalone card improve the picture quality for her? Or is the picture quality depended on what the programing company set to?

I highly doubt the shows she watched are HD content, but they are definitely better than personal home video uploads on youtube (which are crap depending on the filmmakers camera).

I dont want to spend unnecessary $80-$100 only to find out it does not improve the blur or pixelation of the video streaming.

p.s we have shaw extreme internet. (it does not lag at all)

nope.

nope.....that wont help.

If your receiver has up-scaling feature, that might help "a bit"

As they said, it won't make a difference. The video she is watching is likely to be extremely compressed at the source.. the best thing you can do is watch it on a smaller TV
