Where to find Screw/pin for mobo heatsink?

Where can I find the screw/pin below with spring? The heatsink is from my motherboard and both screws broke when I was removing my power supply.

I don't think you can buy these separately. I generally strip them off old motherboards or video cards. They are called "push pins".

There's a used PC place right outside Surrey Central Station that has tons of spare parts.

Worst case if you can't find the push pins, just get some thermal adhesive and stick it back on.

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I'll see if I can get the pins or just use syee's suggestion and get some thermal adhesive.

You could even throw some paste on the middle of the chip, and a dab of krazy glue on the corner to keep the heatsink in place, if you can't get your hands on proper thermal adhesive

It looks to me like that was the heatsink for the VRM (MOSFETS). If so, you don't even really need it there if you're not overclocking. Especially if it's a higher end board with multiple phases for the CPU.

Yup, i think it's the vrm...it's beside the CPU.

Yeah those things can go uncooled, especially if you aren't overclocking. Unless it's a really cheap motherboard, it should be totally fine
