High-Def GoldenEye 007 Coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 http://zapp5.staticworld.net/images/...ed-5197510.jpg http://cdn4.digitaltrends.com/wp-con...-2-625x351.jpg http://cdn2.digitaltrends.com/wp-con...07-625x351.png You probably missed Activision's ballyhooed GoldenEye 007 reboot because, like me, you fire up your Wii once every three or four months during something like the moon's waxing crescent phrase just, you know, to make sure it still works. That, or you just won't abide piping 480p visuals through a 720p or 1080p native flat screen TV. I feel your disdain. If any of that describes you, Activision's plotting to check your Bond-box after all with GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a high-definition rework of the Wii game—which was itself a rework of Goldeneye 64 for the Nintendo 64—for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The hook: it'll include PlayStation Move support (as well, for Sony's PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter rifle), though alas, no love for Microsoft's Kinect. The Activision-Sony press release really talks up the game's Move support, too, with Sony senior VP Rob Dyer calling it "an outstanding opportunity for PlayStation fans" and claiming that Sony's "continuing to expand the new world of motion-based entertainment appealing [to] hardcore fans." PS3 players will have the ability to play using the the Sharp Shooter peripheral. Activision claims GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is "built on a new engine that delivers striking visuals [and] blistering fast gameplay," though it's not clear whether Activision means the Wii engine (which was "brand new" in 2010) or an entirely new engine, beyond the HD update, for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. What is clear: It'll definitely be high-def (that's a shot from the game up top), run at 60 frames-per-second, include several new non-campaign missions (called "Mi6 Ops Missions"), offer "improved" four-player split-screen multiplayer, and add a 16-player online multiplayer mode,Online mode gets new maps, characters, game modes and weapons as well the new game introduces MI-6 Ops Mission modes. These missions will draw from environments in the game and are split into four experiences: Assault, Stealth, Wave Defense and Elimination. When? Look for it in stores later this fall. NICE! Running an N64 emulator to a PS2 controller with a modified button map on my PC was pretty good, but this will be even better. |

being the cheap guy I am i'll give the source mod of Goldeneye a try first on PC oh wait, SHARPSHOOTER...nm i'll get it for my PS3 |
hope you guys realize this isn't the n64 goldeneye game |
^ This. Daniel Craig as Bond, and the story is NOTHING like the N64 version. |
lulz story. Like it matters. If it has the same maps/weapons good enough. Plus 4 player split screen has me sold already. |

Played the Wii version. MP maps-wise, I don't think they're the same at all except for Archives. Dual-wielding is gone, but at least Paintball Mode is still there. Weapons are meh, slight modern re-hash (ie. G36, WA2000, Vector SMG), but the core is there. |
As long as the original maps and weapons are mostly the same. No one gives a shit about the Wii version. Just like everything else on the Wii, it looked 10 years old, made for children and soccer moms. |
But the re-release is the SAME GAME as the Wii version, just with upgraded graphics and a better HD capability. The re-hash is somewhat decent (1st level is pretty damn close to the N64), but doesn't have the same feel as the N64 version. |
the wii version sucked so bad, i played it for 2 hours and never touched it since now this + PS3 move + sharpshooter :fuckyea: |

Reception has been good. 8.5 on Metacritic and IGN. |
