I know someone house hunting in Louisville ... their budget is $75,000

We pay way too much for houses in Vancouver. I hope this bubble collapses soon.

Teriyaki 07-21-2011 08:14 PM

Not bad. I bet lawyers and real estate agents are thumbing through their books to look for anything of the sort in Vancouver. That'd be like landing a goldmine if this was the case here with our retarded house values.

Even if he gets kicked out after a few months, hes gained by not paying any rent for those months. Jelly neighbours.

i dont think letting the media expose this was a smart idea.. now theres gonna be tons of haters that are gonna dig deep to somehow get him the fk outta there cuz ye know, haters gon hate
and 3 years IS a long ass time until he can claim full ownership

You may just get your wish. A 15 - 20% correction in the next couple years is very likely in my opinion.

The law that he dug up stated that if someone moves into an abandoned home, they could negotiate with the original owner. If the original owner wants the squatter to leave, he'd have to pay his mortgage, and the bank would file suit to get the squatter evicted. The bank that held the mortgage has closed up shop. Epic win.

Haha, that place is down the street from KMS and Soundsgood, across the street from Ikea. Pretty ghetto even for Coquitlam.
