Alarm Chirp Volume Varies...

I have a 2 way Compustar alarm in my 2000 integra... every time i lock or unlock the car the chirp volume is either loud or faded, ex..if i lock the car the chirp will be at a good volume, then 2 seconds later unlock the alarm, the chirp is fairly faded, as if the first chirp had drained some of the battery...

the chirp is at its strongest when the car has been sitting locked/unlocked for a while...

what could be the problem? could it be draining that much power from the battery??

It sounds to me like your siren is on the way out. Call one of the sponsors shops to have it checked out.

The siren is most likely flooded. Over the years, the humidity in the air builds up water in the siren.

Some inexperienced installers mount the siren improperly and make it more vulnerable to moisture. Most good shops should warranty this work for life.
