| Western Wheelcraft Review
My rims were curbed (not by me) recently, with an approximate 6" damage. It was not a hard impact, so the damage is not too deep. It could have been DIY fixed with sandpaper, putty and paint, but I wanted a perfect fix. I searched on Revscene and a lot of you recommend Panther, Green's and Western Wheelcraft. The general consensus is that Green's is super expensive with a mediocre result, Panther is competitively priced with good result but takes time, and Western Wheelcraft is cheap, good and fast. So I decided to go with Western Wheelcraft.
Called them, and Mike picked up the phone. He wanted pictures emailed to him for a proper quote. It was $150-175 plus HST. He can do it in the same day. Booked the appointment and Kevin showed up at 8:30am in a van covered with their vinyl. He jacked up my car, picked up the rims and left. 7pm the same day the wheel were dropped off and mounted back onto the car. Price was $175 plus HST due to custom paint.
The result is excellent. I couldn't tell where the damage was. I asked how they did it. Apparently they will paint your entire wheel, because spot painting may not give the best result. Here are pictures.

Verdict:
Excellent service. Will come to your house to pick up. Slightly expensive but the convenience and the result is worth it.

I used them too. Problem I had was with their communication.
I asked if they would be able to fix it in the same day, as I needed the car to move out later that night. He said, "sure, should be done around 6pm." I handed the wheel over to him at 9am.
So later on in the day, I get a call, saying he won't be able to drop off the wheel tonight as he had something to go to later. umm, as a business, customer service is important. I needed the wheel so met up with him halfway to get the wheel. it just ticked me off that I get told one thing and end up having to go out of my way to do more and get noj discount.

^That would piss me off as well.
Unless he was held back/busy dealing with another customer, he should have stuck to his word.

A fortunate and unfortunate bump to this review. The wheel that was repaired in July 2011 has a very tiny paint peel. A portion of the bronze paint peeled off all of a sudden without me doing anything. I called Western Wheelcraft and they came over my house to check it out. When he arrived, he said "yup that's peeling" in 5 seconds. He then asked when I am available because he will have to come jack up my car, pick up my wheel and redo it. We arranged it for Saturday morning. They are open 7 days a week.
On Saturday, he picked it up and returned it back to me at 6pm. It looks flawless now. Friendly attitude, no hassle warranty claim. Superb customer service. On time and super professional attitude. I'll now always recommend them.  | |

Im friends with the co-owner Mike, hes no BS. Is he perfect? No, he's a person after all. He understands quality + rapport with his customers = good business.
He does wheel repair for all car manufacturers in lower mainland. Last time I bumped into him with his company truck was at BMW Langley.

I ran over a rock and punctured my sidewall and bent my rim. Do they mount/balance new tires too?

I never saw this thread, but I have previously dealt with Mike and Western Wheelcraft, and they are a pleasure to work with, and the quality has been there for me.
So +1 for WWC for me.

They deal with bends or just cosmetic repairs? I need a bent barrel fixed.

i've got work done from him good guy and we know the same guys from way back 
as for bent barrel i'm not sure, i did ask him about custom step lip work and he said he didn't do it(cut and weld barrels) but that he knew a guy, still if Mike vouches the work(which he did) i'm going to use the intro.
