Who was it?

SO who all got impounded Thursday night for excessive speeding Thursday night? One group got clocked on the S2S and the other group was clocked coming back over the 2nd narrows bridge.
I think there were at least 5 bikes impounded.
Who got a call from a friend asking for a ride home that night.
Come on guys, it's the long weekend with the worst statistics for accidents. You have to remember that there are more patrols out there.

Here is the story with video footage from the helicopter Air Support 2:

Air 2 helicopter tracks and busts 10 of 12 speeding motorcycles

CharlieH 08-01-2011 12:31 PM

holy crap LOL. thats what you get for going 180 on second narrows though. gotta be smart about where you speed =/

AlphaKappa 08-01-2011 12:45 PM

noobs, only ghost rider can do this

Vale46Rossi 08-01-2011 01:00 PM

lol they fucked.

tegz 08-01-2011 04:29 PM

lol @ these guys... they go average speed on the twisties and rip open the throttle to 200kmh on the straights whoooYAA

racerman88 08-01-2011 08:20 PM

I thought that it was common knowledge that there are more police patrols on long weekends. Not to mention that it is also the end of the month.

noventa 08-02-2011 04:50 PM

how did the other 2 get away?

racerman88 08-05-2011 11:04 PM

most of them got tickets. The worst ones got impounded

Gh0stRider 08-06-2011 09:29 AM

racerman88 08-06-2011 06:30 PM

messed up my long weekend. Too much popo on patrol as it was, made worse by these idiots.

maxxxboost 08-10-2011 01:35 PM

Amazing. Those guys probably had no clue what was coming their way.

v.Rossi 08-10-2011 04:39 PM

It's hard not to speed, i mean a flick of a wrist and you're off. like someone above mentioned, just gotta be smart about where you speed.

I never go past 70 on great northern way(2nd ave near vcc) or down terminal street(coastal ford, flea market, dueck gm). but really, once a cop has his donut and coffee in hand he'll camp wherever he wants, he's set for a couple hours.

Respect your bike and don't be a squid is my $0.02

Culverin 08-10-2011 05:07 PM

I'd got less on Great Northern Way if I were you. My friend's got a civic sedan, no rice, no flash. Just plain stock. Cops love hiding out on that stretch of road. Might seem like a good stretch, but you're better off going somewhere more twisty and take it slow.

v.Rossi 08-10-2011 05:28 PM

They do, and they're always hiding on the north side as I've noticed around the art school/cat building(combat auto theft). I'd go slower, but traffic flow itself seems to be 65-70km/h around that area.

I do go slower nowadays though due to the construction going on there now, they've got debris and metal plates now on both sides of the lane, inch high at least. take it easy around that area during rainy days.

Offtopic, but that custom 07-09 blue & black(custom paint, real nice scheme imo) ninja zx6r is sexy on great northern way, see it parked there in the morning on most weekday mornings.
