Just wait on it.

If all else fails, you can just e-mail back to the person who first replied to you. Maybe the person doesn't want to keep the phone after all?

Who knows. But still, props to you.

ipad2 = prob keep
laptop = return
10,000$ in backpack = return the back back alone :P

i can sense a failstorm coming, but w/e i'm being honest, whoever fails is definitely lying to themselves. specially since im young too, i dont think my generations cares that much. But i think if i was older, i'd prob re-think everything i said, but you never know

The bottom line is I would return it whenever possible. If I found a black umbrella, I wouldn't!

If I ever lost anything of value, I would hope it gets returned.

Karma - I'm a firm believer in it.

I remember I found a purse in the club once with an iphone, wallet and tampons LOL

I found the ID in the wallet and was gonna drop it off the next day and I didn't know how to use the bloody iphone, but then at 5am while i'm sleeping they decide to call bomb the phone. I tried to ignore it for awhile and wanted to deal with it the next day. Needless to say I dropped it off to the girls bf at 5am.

Did you at least return the call bombs in return the next day?

LP700-4 08-02-2011 12:45 PM

Still no reply.....well we'll see what happens, original contact isnt picking up or anything either. Maybe they dont want it?

To you doing the right thing.

Ronin 08-02-2011 01:42 PM

I'd always return a phone and have a couple times. Laptop I'd probably return. iPad too.

Maybe it's just because I have too many of these things already?

Cash...well, depends on how much. If there's a way to identify the person, I might consider it.

LP700-4 08-02-2011 02:03 PM

I always try to return things that can be returned. Phone, wallet, and stuff with identification pieces. If its just cash or an ipod or something, its close to impossible to identify who really owns it.

UPDATE: Got a reply from actual owner, gave me some info bout the phone and looks like ill be handing it off to her cousin in a couple days. :thumbsup:

The feeling of doing a good deed :fuckyea:

SumAznGuy 08-02-2011 02:30 PM

Pics of the owner or it didn't happen.

Don't see why that's necessary.

CP.AR 08-02-2011 03:54 PM

"gotta take a picture for you to prove that you have the phone now... why don't you pose" :troll:

optiblue 08-02-2011 06:42 PM

Props to you! I have and always will return stuff that I've found if I can do it myself. If I can't, return it to the lost and found in case that person tries to backtrack. For public transit, many people don't know this, but their lost and found hq is at oak and 41st. The most common item lost are umbrellas. Especially for iPhones and iPads the new "find my iPhone" feature will probably let the owner track you to your home or work. You can always turn it off, but that means your intent was to steal and karma will pwn u!
