2 different processor speed on Windows 7 system screen

I'm running a i5-2500K stock, but the system screen is displaying 2 different speeds.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30 GHz 3.60 GHz

This is a newly built computer, so I haven't done anything to it yet.

My brother uses the same processor but his screen displays 3.30 GHz 3.30 GHz.

Is there something that I did?

I guess either one of you has "Speedstepping" on. Skinnypupp, chime in?

This is driving me nuts. lol

No I don't think it's speedstep, because speedstep reduces your clock speed, not increase it?

I've checked under Device manager, and it reads all 4 cores as 3.30 GHz. Did that under bios too. Multiplier is 33. Nothing overclocked.

Right now, it's in Computer>Properties that show 2 different speeds.

I know I'm not the only one with this "problem", but I haven't been able to find an answer as to why it's showing that.

Any help would be great.

edit:

Forgot to mention, i5-2500K is 3.30 GHz stock.

I have the same problem. But i don't let it bother me. If you want to check which one is your real clock just download coretemp. The 4Ghz is my oc clock and the 2.6 is my stock

I remember getting rid of it once before. And only having it show 1 clock. But i think is something in the bios you have to set. Dont remember.

The thing is, I haven't even overclocked it yet, so why would it be displaying one faster clock speed. That is what I can't seem to find an answer for.

Some mb bios can do slight oc depending on profile. Azusa have his option in the bios and software.
