Excel Gurus I need help I'm planning to create a chart in excel 07 for cost analysis of 10 items for school. Cost on Y-Axis and Time on X-Axis. So the chart will be Cost vs Time. Its not very neat to the eye to have all 10 items on the same chart. So, what I was thinking to do was create individual charts for the items. This I know how to do. Then create one blank chart, with two drop down list, that can bring up any two individual charts so I can compare the chosen two charts overlaid on top of each other. Any one know how to do this? |
2 Attachment(s) Should be pretty simple with PivotCharts ... Column A = Item Name Column B = Price Column C = Date Highlight A1 to C? (end of table), select Format as Table (colour scheme doesn't matter, just choose whatever looks best to you). Once you've formatted it as a table, Insert > PivotTable > PivotChart On the right, put Item in Legends Fields, Date in Axis Fields, and Price in Values. Right-Click on any empty space in the Chart, then select Change Chart Type, select a line graph. On the right side of the chart, you'll see a grey box with Item and a down arrow next to it. If you click on that, you can select which items you would like to have displayed ... See attachments for visuals ... |
