For the BB users (I haven't used BB OR BBM), how do you send/receive messages from other phone users (iPhone or Android)? Do you have to do it via regular SMS? Or do you use BBM and it figures out if the other person is on BBM or not and sends the message using either BBM/SMS depending on the person receiving? Posted via RS Mobile |

^ But is that a different "app"? Or do your conversations all exist in one "app"? Reason I ask is that with iMessage you only have the iMessage "app". All your contacts, groups and conversations exist in iMessage. So the people in your group who have iPhones will get their messages via data while those without iPhones will get regular SMS messages. You don't have to switch between "apps" to chat with your iPhone friends and your non-iPhone friends. Posted via RS Mobile |
Pingchat used to suck, but now it seems pretty good! |

In that case, no, BBM was tied to a PIN number and needed data or wifi to function properly. So if I were to send a BBM message to someone without data it wouldnt automatically switch to SMS. I would have to go to my SMS to contact them |
i only use watsapp for freinds who are at over sea save me money for texting |
