backup sensor installation in GVRD my family bought a wagon and they want a backup sensor since the car is a lot longer than the compact car that we had before. Where in vancouver/richmond do you guys recommend to get backup sensors installed? i found out electromagnetic sensor, which don't require drilling and is taped to the back of the bumper, but are they just as effective as the more common ones? |
Any of the RS car audio sponsors can do it and can get the sensors for you too. |
^what he said. i'm pretty sure n-motion can do it too. |

I just had a back up system installed last week. Sensor (drill in type) - $60 Paint Match - $100 (I got it done for less, cuz I know the autobody guy, but he said it would be around $100 for other folk) Install - $80 Total cost = $240 Most sponsors could not match that (on RS or bcmazda3). Got it done by a guy named John. PM me for phone#. The install was very clean, can't tell where the wire is unless you really look. The guy says he's been doing it for 10+ years (i exercised professional skepticism ;)) and does install for dealerships. Overall he seems to know wtf he's doing. The only issue I had was, my A-pillar cover was lose, going this weekend to get it fixed. Unit comes with 1yr warranty. |
I would recommend BPG tuning in Richmond ! It u want it properly done Dennis n jay are the Guys to talk to ! Posted via RS Mobile |
Bump. I may need this done professionally. Similar install as on my TSX currently. http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/...m%202/tsx3.jpg I also have a small screen, really neatly installed showing proximity from each sensor, plus it beeps. Only operational on reverse. A nice to have would be something similar. Any ideas? |
