Dog seat belt I'm thinking of getting one of those seat belt harness for my Daschund. Just wondering what's everyone's using and their recommendations. |
We have the Kurgo Skybox booster seats for our guys - they hang over the headrest and then belt around the back of the seat to secure them; the dogs go in their harnesses (we have the soft RC Pets harnesses) and clip in to the in-seat belts. I looked around for some earlier, but they were pretty expensive and didn't fit my dogs too well. So now I just wrap/tie their leash around the headrest. It does the job, keeps them in place, won't fall down from sudden braking, and they still have some room to move around. |
You can always get a good harness and a 'street leash' as they seem to call them. They are the 1 or 2 ft leash loop. This way the seat belt goes through the leash. This makes it easy to take them in and out as well. Never attach it to a collar. |

Long time ago but for guys who are looking, I bought these: Clickit Sport - Sleepypod® | The safest pet company | Dog Carrier | Cat Carrier | Dog Harness The only dog seatbelt that passed the crash test (see their video). Good piece of mind if you ride with your buddy often. |
