Cleaning towels Just curious how to properly clean towels specifically micro fiber towels after using to apply and remove wax?? I use Autoglym high resin polish and the towels are caked with the stuff later. And then I use Collonite 476 which doesn't wash off my car so why would it come out of a towel? Washing them then tossing in the dryer only seems like it would melt and ruin the rest of the stuff in the wash. Any ideas anyone? |
you use the towels to apply or take off the resin? i only use them to take off the resin and they wash out just fine. |
I use them for both. One for applying, then another for buffing. The latter is easy to clean. I'm more wondering about the application clothes I use. |
You can use dawn super degreaser or any APC diluted would work fine. Let it soak in a hot solution of the soap for a while than rinse clean. |
Autoglym sells special applicator pads. I buy the Canadian tire version where it's 3 yellow round pads about 4" wide. One side is a sponge and the other is microfiber. They work pretty well. Posted via RS Mobile Edit: but I still use a towel to take off the resin. |
