I am so not going to be able to get any schoolwork done, FML.

twitchyzero 08-10-2011 10:52 PM

survival looks kind of stupid
i'll reserve my judgement on the game until I actually play through it.
there's probably no dedicated servers like MW2 PC, right?

FN-2199 08-10-2011 10:57 PM

Caveman mode [ON] OFF

FerrariEnzo 08-11-2011 04:18 AM

WTB: BLACK HAWK DOWN MOD

Imagine being those guys defending the downed helicopter against a million Somali warlords. It would be fucking perfect for that survival horde mode.

LIKE A BAWWWSSS..

v850 08-11-2011 12:54 PM

gameplay looks pretty crazy

Hummus 08-11-2011 06:33 PM

this survival mode looks like a refreshing and exciting change up in game modes. i was slightly disappointed when they didnt include special ops in black ops but meh! that being said the graphics and the dynamics of gameplay doesnt look like its changed much....mw2.5? lol regardless i'm still gonna purchase this game.

palepilsenpin0y 08-11-2011 07:32 PM

I wasn't excited before, but now I am. Spec Ops looks fucking intense.

BF3 + MW3 = FPS heaven this year

AzNightmare 08-13-2011 01:12 AM

I wonder if I can run this game...

for some reason, I had problems running Black Ops even on lowest settings
so I only got to play that for about 5 mins...

My system's a few years old now.
(Core2Duo 2.4 GHz E6600 // 8800 GT)

I'll buy this if I can figure out if I can run it smoothly...

you need a new video card.. CPU wise... maybe OC it a bit if you can... RAM, i think you need 4GB if you dont have it..

604nguyen 08-13-2011 08:02 AM

BF3>MW3

Yeah, I OC'ed my CPU to 3.0ghz.
Not sure if I need a quad core.

I'm still using WinXP, so I only have 2gb of RAM.
I would get a better video card, but I'm not sure if the rest of my system will bottleneck it anyway.

But I don't have the money to buy a new system right now. :okay:

You have exact same system as my previous system.
But I oc'ed my CPU to 3.6ghz

Try upgrade your Video card to GTX 560ti or GTX570
You'll see huge improvement already.

Culverin 08-14-2011 09:50 AM

And get that extra 2gb of ram, ddr2 should be dirty cheap by now.

AzNightmare, let me know if you will save up enough to get a system by the end of the year, I build myself a monster pc every year and sell it off the following year. I'd like to think it would be pretty damned cheap. i7, 12gb of ram, radeon 6950, 120gb ssd. Lancool dragon lord case (powder coated red internals).

twitchyzero 08-14-2011 10:20 AM

he's using DDR2 ram...which is expensive to upgrade compared to DDR3

AzNightmare 08-14-2011 04:08 PM

Well the thing about RAM is that I'm still on WinXP, so I think I read that anything after 3gb won't register, and there's minimal gain if I upgrade to 3gb (I'll lose the ability to dual channel or something like that??)

I might be able to save up a few hundred for a GTX560Ti, but I'm not sure
if it's worth it to just upgrade 1 thing now, or should I just wait until I have a grand saved up to get a new system. Will a good video card still be useful if my cpu and ram is still outdated?

I still intend on carrying over all my external components, like keyboard, mouse, monitors, etc., so I won't have to re-buy that stuff for my next system.

Thanks, but I'm going to end up building my own... just because building the computer is like 75% of the fun of owning a new computer. :fullofwin:

Cassijon 08-14-2011 08:05 PM
