Tire size Question.

Hi, im looking to buy a set of tires this week and i thought i finally settled on Nitto NeoGen VR, but im not 100% on the size.

Im running 16x7.5, and the NeoGens only come in 205/40*45*50/r16

Will i lose a lot of performance going with a 205, i was hoping for 215 or 225, but the NeoGens seem to have good reviews and are affordable right now for me.

Also will be going with either a 45 or 50 sidewall.

The tires will be going on my Lancer Evo 1.

Thanks, Tyler.

You will definately get more grip with a 215 and even more wi th a 225, how much exactly is hard to measure with exact numbers. Personally id go with a 45 profile because I dont like too much meat on my tires with aftermarket wheels. Is 16x7.5 the stock wheel size?

Hey sorry, I ended up buying some 205/45r16 they look much better then the 205/40 that were previously on there. And nope stock is 15x6 or 7.

Thanks for the reply though!
