Team Jordan Flight tour in China (Beijing, HK)

Would post this in the sports section but it`s got some cool relevant culture related stuff many of you can relate too here.... anyway for those that dont follow basketball, the NBA is in the middle of a ongoing lockout and players aren`t allowed to even use any team facilities or have any contact with their coaches and training staff.... nothing to do gives you a lot of free time, so basically vacation time mixed in with a little bit of work for some of team Michael Jordans athletes....

Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade and Chris Paul doing their thing in Beijing and HK, the game of basketball has taken over China, it`s easily the second biggest market for everything NBA related and very rapidly approaching the number 1 spot since everyone in the states is fckin broke

oh and a replay of that 1 move CP did from the first vid :fullofwin:

oh and just for good measure, here`s Lebron 4th quarterin trollin in Taiwan

Good use off the off-season by Team Jordan. But here's a video of Georgetown playing a Chinese professional team, and a fight ensued over a hard foul.

Georgetown's tour through China turned ugly Thursday when a game between the Hoyas and the Bayi Rockets, a Chinese professional team, ended in a bench-clearing brawl.

Mex Carey, Georgetown's sports information director, told ESPN.com that the game was "very physical," with 57 free throws taken by Bayi to just 15 for Georgetown, and quickly spun out of control.

]According to the Washington Post, coach John Thompson III pulled his team off the court with the score tied at 64 midway through the fourth quarter after the teams exchanged punches. One Hoyas player, Henry Sims, was reportedly hit by a chair.

The Hoyas dodged water bottles and other objects thrown from the stands as they made their way to the locker room. Carey said one Georgetown fan in attendance was knocked to the ground after being hit by a bottle.

"Tonight, two great teams played a very competitive game that unfortunately ended after heated exchanges with both teams,'' Thompson said in a statement. "We sincerely regret that this situation occurred.

Georgetown and the Rockets are scheduled to play again Sunday night in Shanghai. The goodwill games coincide with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's visit to the country.

The melee was the latest instance of on-court fighting by China, whose players have been fined tens of thousands of dollars by the world and Asian federations for scrapping with opponents.

Georgetown is in China on a 10-day trip which has been cited by the U.S. State Department as an example of sports diplomacy that strengthens ties between the two countries. The Hoyas were briefed by the State Department ahead of their departure on what to expect during its trip to Beijing and Shanghai, according to news releases on the university's website.

"We remain grateful for the opportunity our student-athletes are having to engage in a sport they love here in China, while strengthening their understanding of a nation we respect and admire at Georgetown University," Thompson III said.

In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner called it an "unfortunate" incident.

"We look to these types of exchanges to promote good sportsmanship and strengthen our people-to-people contact with China," he said.

On Thursday, Biden met with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, who is expected to take over as Communist Party chief next year. After his China trip, Biden will go to Mongolia on Monday, then travel later in the day Japan.
Game was tied when the fight broke out even though the Chinese team had 4:1 free throw disparity lol.

Nah. Jordan does little to no marketing for his brand now. He has big stars like CP3, Wade and Melo representing him.

no MJ no care

G-spec 08-21-2011 09:54 AM

MJ is too busy banging barely legal white girls, playin golf and hittin up Vegas gambling, in no particular order... matter a fact knowing how MJ rolls, he probably doin it all at the same muthafckin time.... he's a man who always challenges himself to exceed expectations...

As for the Georgetown Rockets brawl, seems the Rockets have pissed off the Chinese Communist Party leaders, it was not supposed to be a fight... Not just this occasion, throughout the Asian region in various Tournaments Chinese teams have the worst records when it comes to various disciplinary fines for fighting and other unsportsmanlike conduct and its not sittin well with the Commies in charge since they want the world to think their young men that fill the ranks of not just athletic teams but also the army, that they have teh scary discipline and demenor of a commie icon Ivan Drago of Rocky fame, but instead they're coming off as a bunch of young hot heads...
But hey fck, what were we all doing in our late teens and early 20's other than acting a little stupid
