unpaid ticket plus class 5 test
 

got a ticket in July and had till August 6th to pay or dispute.
forgot to pay it... and still haven't paid it.

have class 5 test tomorrow and planning to pay the ticket before taking the test... will that be fine?

when you say had til aug 6th, is that to get the discount ?

You have 30 days from date issued to either dispute or pay the ticket. It passed so that's why I wanted to find out.


from back of the ticket:

If you do not pay or dispute this ticket within 30 days of the date of service, the ticketed amount shown on the front will be payable to the Crown. The described offense(s) will be added to your record as convictions, in addition, you will be subject to collection activity.

NON-PAYMENT MAY AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO OBTAIN OR RENEW LICENCES AND PERMITS ISSUED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE LEGISLATION PERTAINING TO THE OFFENCE.


Would it be better to show up and not mention the ticket? and pay after? but then again I wonder if it'll show up in the system.....

You will be flagged on the database and they will require you to pay any outstanding fines or fees before allowing you any new transactions...in other words, pay them the fine & they will let you take the test. If someone in court services has not yet processed your non-dispute then you may get away with it but you will eventually need to pay.

all went good they didn't mention anything.
