Yellow fog lights lens

Posted via RS Mobile what's the easiest way to make fog lights yellow including lens cover? I know u can put 2500k yellow Piaa bulbs. Do people provide tinting service to make lens yellow too? Will the tint film be durable for high heat produced by fog lights ? What about stone chips on the film ? I want an old JDM looking fog like the ones on 98 Lexus gs400

is there a reason why you prefer adding a cover instead of the piaa bulbs? the bulbs are like 10-20 bucks,

and yes you can tint them, don't know who does it though.

lamin-x.com, they make precut foglight films that can be applied in minutes. It will give that nice yellow JDM look during the day and protect your foglights from stones that will come in contact.

highly recommend lamin-x

How much did you pay?

I put yellow film on my oem fogs before, the heat from the bulbs melted the film after a while though.

To prevent that your fogs shouldn't be on unless moving. I've seen glass lenses crack from to much heat build up in the housing from the lights being on while the vehicle is stationary

As mentioned, laminX makes very high quality and durable film for all lights

I found that my fogs weren't yellow enough for my liking after i applied the film so i also put bulbs on for the nighttime look. Much better if you want them yellow at night too

Nice. I was planning on making a post about this since I want to do the same for my 08 Accord.

I've searched around other forums and there seems be a lot of mixed reviews with Lamin-X. A few people mentioning that it's burning/melting on them after a certain time. Anyone using Lamin-X and having the same problem?

i asked for a quote at n-motion for my 06 matrix. the guy replied back 40$ including materials and labour.

Agreed, Lamin-x has great products !!!!!!!!
but for the lazy N motion isnt too bad, my yeller fogs are done by them, no bubbles and life time warranty anyways!

Been running lamin-x cover for 3 yrs. Some say its too hot with oem halogen 55w bulbs or aftermarket that can go up to 80w. So I switched to 35W 3000k HID. Not a problem ever since.

how big are your foglamps?

i suggest you get the gencoupe fog laminX (because my car has some of the biggest fogs i've seen on any car) and cut em out from there

n-motion sells rolls of yellow film too iirc so you can just get a roll and cut em out yourself. but it's thinner and lesser quality than the stuff laminX makes

A bit OT but... is it illegal to have yellow tint on the headlights?
