Runners check this out! Kinsei 3 for $134.99 at Sportchek.ca

Hey guys,

I just saw this on my facebook feed and think I should share it with Revscene.

Sportchek is doing an ONLINE only deal of the week sale.
And right now they have the Asics kinsei III for $134.99, thats cheaper than our cost on that shoe, and its a great deal for a top of the line runner from Asics.

Super good deal if you are an avid runner.

Deal of the Week - Advertised - SportChek.ca

chek it out! once again ONLINE ONLY

I have a pair of Asic Kayano 16's that need replacement soon. From my understanding, the Kayano are good for those who have pronated feet. Would the Kinsei be a good pair for me?

if your have a severely pronated foot then no

Kinsei do feature a dual density gel where the medial side has a stiffer gel which acts like a stability feature for the shoe. They will control mild pronation, pair it with a pair of superfeets and you should be okay.

Does the the Spend $100, Get $20 off next purchase offer also apply to this deal?

Honestly I do not know, its an online only deal, so guess you'll have to try and see.

WHOA.

For those of you with neutral feet, this is a wicked deal.
The Kinsei are one of the top shoes on the market, usually going for over $250

Unfortunately, I've got pronated feet so it's Kayanos for me.

Think of these as Nike Shox, but gel.
But they actually work and aren't just for show.

thanks skiipi. ordered one.

Recently started running for 30-60 minutes every couple days so this thread sparked some interest b/c I'm currently running in some generic addidas shoes.

Asics Gel Kinsei Vs. Gel Kayano: Shoes: Runner's World Forums

Basically they are saying that these shoes are inferior to the Kayano's, just a heads up

That's a 3 year old thread dummy lol its for the older version

Exactly. And those guys are discussing stability on a cushion shoe.
Just because they run a lot doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.

Don't buy these if you don't know if you pronate or not. Go in to a running shop first.

That's a great deal... but it's only for the red version? Damn... I would be all over it if it was the blue ones.

I have the original Gel Kinsei... was thinking about upgrading.

I found a place that has the blue Gel Kinsei 2 for $120 or something, and was considering getting that...

Hmm, decisions, decisions...

I'm by no means a footwear expert, but one of the biggest flaws of the kinsei 2 was that they are too heavy and the heel cup was almost too stiff.
For kinsei 3, the scalloped the heel cup making it lighter and slightly more forgiving. So might be worth it to overlook the color and get the kinsei 3s.

You can also just order the red and see if a running room would be willing to do a no bill exchange for the color that you want

My kayano's are worn out on the front medial side. I'm no shoe expert, but as I purchased the kayano's for my pronated feet, shouldn't the shoe help correct my pronated stance?

No shoe will "correct" ur pronation
If you over pronate, a stability shoe will help reduce the impact of your pronation, but it won't eliminate it.

How do you compare these to the Gel Nimbus? I haven't been much of a runner but those Asics Gel Nimbus was the shoe I got when I needed to run long distances (long in my mind) as it had lots of padding and comfort.

These kinsei will offer more cushioning than the nimbus, and will also offer better heel stability. The kinsei is asics's top of the line shoes.

I used to work at SC.
Cashiers aren't used to doing web returns. So just make sure you bring all your receipts and packing slips.
