Metallic Prints

I want to print out a photo at my place. It's going to be B+W, and slightly larger (20x30). I'm framing it it as well.

I was wondering if you guys know if Metallic prints would look good with it? I couldn't find much info online about metallic prints. Some people say they're better for colours, some people don't like how they look (fake), some people say the effect isn't good if it's framed because the glass negates the effect.

Any feedback?

(btw, if I decide against Metallic - should I go with matte or gloss since I'm framing? It's got quite a bit of black in the picture)

With metallic prints, a lot depends on subject matter, and metallic prints aren't cheap. I agree that putting a metallic print behind glass will largely negate the effect, as will a matte print.

But glossy print over a matte print when behind glass? I would've thought that having a glossy print might result in more reflections?

Not if the print is touching the glass - if the glass is elevated above the print, then yes, you would get secondary and maybe even tertiary reflections. You can also get glass with less reflective coatings at art stores like Opus.
