There's a place called.. Blair something.. in one of the buildings I work in. On the corner of Smithe and Hornby downtown. They specialize in courthouse wear.. so I'd assume they can do it? lol
No idea about prices though.

You can probably find tons..

thanx, but was looking for a place that people have actually tried. Cuz I don't want to mess up an expensive suit

i believe a couple people have tried that one place in lougheed mall above the food court ( i think somewhere between that top floor and HBC ) but never gone there myself =x

I've been successful with Oakridge Tailors (Cambie/39th). Recently got my pants hemmed and a button on my jacket re-adjusted. Also had an invisible mending job done on my jacket by them a few years ago. So good I couldn't tell where the tear was when I got it back. Usual turnaround for them is a weeks time for a simple job.

I've been everywhere, tried quite a few tailors in this city, and did a ton of digging and researching.

Oakridge Tailors (mentioned above) has been by far the best - Joy is well trained a really good. I still use them frequently - expect around a week to get them as flameboy said.

+1 for Oakridge tailors, got my suit pants let out at the waist and seat area.

They did an awesome job.

i always go to kerrisdale tailors (across from the mcD on 41st and west boulevard).

they do alterations and they also specialize in custom shirts and suits - so they know what they're doing.

Does Oakridge do hemming+tapering for suit pants?

BBMme 10-01-2011 08:46 PM

Townline tailors on 541 Howe Street
They do all of Harry Rosen's tailoring.

Yes, that's what I usually get them to do.

How much do these places usually charge? I have 3 pairs I want to get altered and I am deciding between Alberts, Oakridge, or Lougheed Mall store...
