2013 Honda Accord: First Official Images Released

Quote:
If Honda's words are to be believed, what you're looking at here is "the most sculpted Accord ever." The camouflage has been pulled away and we're now getting our first glimpse at the production 2013 Accord sedan.

Now, let's dissect that "most sculpted Accord" statement for a moment. Historically, Honda has never been known to break design barriers with its decidedly likable midsize sedan. But when you're competing with the likes of the best-selling Toyota Camry in one of the most competitive and highly shopped segments in the industry, sex doesn't always sell. And to that extent, yes, this is the most sculpted Accord we've seen – certainly more attractive than the current sedan – but it won't set the world on fire. And that's fine, because conservative, handsome styling sells.

Conservative and handsome it definitely is. We like the strong character line that sweeps along the belt line and fades off just before the C pillar, and elements like the attractive 10-spoke wheels, LED running lamps, headlamps and taillamps keep it looking modern. From the rear, we won't fault you for mistaking the Accord for a Hyundai Genesis, and we'll really have to see the car in person before making final design judgments. It's not Sonata sleek, but it certainly doesn't look bad.

That's all we know for now, though Honda does say that the 2013 Accord sedan is "bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside." We'll have more details when the car officially debuts in the fall. In the meantime, peruse the two high-res images in our attached gallery and click here for Honda's press blast.

Pretty nifty

SpareOne Emergency Phone is the only cell phone in the world powered by a standard AA battery

We broke all records! The SpareOne can hold its charge, if stored unused, for up to 15 years* or for the shelf life of the battery inserted. And when in use, SpareOne has a talk time of 10 hrs !* This is all made possible by a single AA battery.

Do you put only synthetic oil in a Nissan 370Z? I only ask because one came into my dealership and I was nearly fired on the spot by our pseudo temp manager because I had a service advisor ask the customer for synth when the "manager" already said use conventional, and I felt incredibly uncomfortable using that. Keep in mind this was not my actual manager who threatened to fire me, called me an idiot for questioning his experience and claimed all oil was the same.

EDIT: I should mention we are not
a Nissan dealership.
I guess an enthusiasts opinion doesnt matter when youre a rookie tech.

Especially a 370 would use synthetic no questions asked. Do you work at Flag that had the oil change for $25 a couple weeks back?

Nope, I work in the automall down the block, the vehicle was purchased from another dealership within the network and was given a discount oil change (yet the customer AGREED to pay the extra money for the synthetic). Still chapped that I was threatened with discharge over oil choice (and I think that that's not grounds for termination?).

Broadway East bound in front of Vantech Highschool was blocked off as I was headed West bound at 6am, looked like the aftermath of a police chase.

White SUV crashed front first into the lawn/bushes of the church next to Vantech, the rear end of the white SUV was smashed up pretty bad, half a block West in front of Vantech a VPD Yukon had some front end damage with an officer taking pictures of the damage, almost appears if the VPD Yukon hit the White SUV during a chase.

Wow, so thats what it was. The rear of the white SUV was crumpled in pretty good, while the VPD Yukon just had some minor damage to the front fender/bumper, it had a pushbar
