It will made a difference if you are putting in off tire with a 90s new tire.. with a modern up to date one. The fact is tread patterns and compounds for street cars for the same type of applications are not that hugely different; provided they are manufactured within the same period. I would say tire inflation and tread depth probably play a larger factor. OP managed to replace the tires with the same make, so it should be fine. Quote:
